URBANA Design Group was created in early 2000 with the objective of
offering to the world a service with high standards in the process of
We are a recognized architectural drafting and design firm specializing in
residential design and serving an international market.
At URBANA, our mission is to eagerly recognize our clients needs,
understand what they are looking for, and work together to make those
dreams a beautiful reality.
Our inspiration grows out of a motivation to infuse our knowledge with our
clients' projections, inculcate mutual interaction and participation in the
process of the design.
The foundation of URBANA Design Group has long been our residential
work. Most of our projects are new custom homes or alterations and
remodels to existing homes. Nevertheless, as a constantly growing
organization, we have designed non-residential buildings, including
commercial buildings and tenant improvements. We have also devoted
ourselves to a great amount of disciplines related to our field of action.
Our office in located in the beautiful city of La Jolla, California, only 15
minutes from San Diego. Our vision is to serve our community and the
world. We have designed projects throughout North and South America.
Julian Ortega has practiced architecture in San Diego
since receiving his Bachelor in Architecture degree in
1999. As president and founder of URBANA, he has
specialized throughout his experience in creating
spaces defining single and multiple family housing,
retail and commercial work, meticulously integrating
the fundamental nature of each human being with the
essence of their space, designing as result, building
components influenced by the uniqueness that each
